至于整篇推荐信的字体，要求统一，不要使用不同的字体。因为你有三封推荐信要写，所以你应该尽量使用不同的信纸，字体，字号，页边距等等，尽量使得三封推荐信的样式看起来各不相同。

　　要知道教授给你签推荐信是一个很繁琐的过程，一般来说一封推荐信需要 3 个签名：推荐信上一个，推荐表格上一个，信封上一个；然后还要在推荐表上签一个日期。你申请十几个学校的话，教授就要签 50 个左右的名字，是很累的。

　　如果你得到教授授权，可以自己代替教授签名，那你就模仿教授的笔迹签名好了，这样即使对方学校有疑问过来核实，由于教授给你授权了，学校也不会查出什么东西来。

　　有时候教授不愿意给你签很多的名字，而且你经常跑去找他签名也不好，毕竟不能总去麻烦教授。这个时候你还是自己模仿好了，随便拿几封推荐信让教授签了，后面的你全部自己代笔模仿。一般来说教授给你签推荐信的时候，是不会看你的推荐信是用在哪个学校的申请上的，所以即便是对方学校觉得你的签名不太对劲，来找教授核实，教授反正也不知道他的推荐信是用在哪些学校上面的，所以肯定回复说这是我写的。当然如果碰上上面说过的把推荐信连签名都复印再寄过来的情况就没办法了，你就直接去和教授解释一下吧。

　　至于推荐信的字数嘛，没有什么很严格的要求。只要你把话说清楚了，把被推荐人的特点叙述的清晰明了，就是一封好的推荐信。有人说推荐信一定要在一页以内，其实不必，一页半的样子都是可以的，只要你是真的有话要说。你能写得更短当然更好，写不短也没有关系。不过也要注意，推荐信总长度不要超过两页，否则真的没人愿意看。

　　在这里我将举出同一个被推荐人的两篇推荐信的实例，给大家作出分析。举下面两篇推荐信的目的是为了让大家知道，写推荐信容易犯的一些常见毛病。改后的稿子仅仅是为了与原稿作对比，仍然有很多不足之处，请大家不要模仿改后稿写推荐信。

　　Recommendation Letter 1 原稿：

　　To Whom This May Concern，It is my pleasure to recommend Ms。 ABC as a worthy candidate for admission to yourwell-esteemed East Asian studies/sociology program and application for related financial aid。

　　I get to know ABC more than one year ago while she was taking Taiwan Literature Studies， which I taught。 Since this sphere of knowledge is not as familiar to our students as mainland literature and thus required a basic and sound mastery of general literature， it was designed for seniors whotake a special interest and are willing to make extra efforts to study it。 ABC’s excellentperformance both in and after class made me quite satisfied with her。 In that semester with morethan eighty students taking the course， it was after only a few classes that I began to notice her； because nearly every class she sat in front rows whose seats would be occupied only if the student was one of those arrived early。 Each time I faced her I could see what a teacher desires most fromher students： enthusiasm， concentration and timely feedback resulting from active thinking whilelistening to me。

　　And what impressed me is ABC’s initiative in learning her chosen field。 There is a Documentary Center for Taiwan Research in our university library， which contains abundant collections andholds seminars nonscheduledly。 ABC must have spent much time there ever since she registered my course。 I came across her there several times and understood the reason she could frequentlyvisited me with her novel ideas and questions worth of discussing。
